I am a Christian and I have been thoroughly enjoying reading the Christy Book and watching the videos. I especially am inspired by the role played by Tyne Daly.

I really enjoyed the TV production of Christy. In fact it was what lead me to reading the book which it turns out that it is one of my favorites.

I love the Christy stories. It is so inspiring to see how Christy trusts in God and is always looking for his guidance.

I love Christy! I wish I would have found her sooner. I also wish that the series would not have began on Sunday nights during church. That is why I never knew of them until I began to rent them at our local Christian Bookstore. I want so much to see the rest of the episodes. I read the book, but did not like how it kept you hanging. I want more. I want a sequel. I want to also see the video series end with the Doctor and Christy getting together. I love the actor/actresses in those roles and would truly be blessed to see them happily united. Is there ever a chance of getting the same people to finish the series? I just found this site, and will write the addresses concerning getting Christy where she belongs; which is on the air! Well, back to college tomorrow. I am glad I found you. I will try to see when the rest of the Christy shows will be aired on the Family channel. Meanwhile, I would love to hear the good news of this series being complete.

I loved all the Christy series. I have the movies,books, and other things. I have just recently found this page on Christy and I love it.

Wow! Wasn't Christy just the bees knees of television series *giggle* I fell in love with the characters, the stories and the scenery...it was one of the most exceptional shows on television and it was a sad day when Australia stopped showing it. Sad to say I have never read the original book; but if it is anything as moving as the series, I can't wait to be transported to Cutter Gap! I'll have my heart eternally set on a Christy-Neil match ;-) He's pretty cute for a country boy!! Woo Hoo!

I was shocked to learn that network television would produce and air a show as interesting and wonderful as Christy. I disconnected the cable and antenna from our home TV long ago because of the depravity and mindlessness of TV, both the shows and the commercials. My daughter just introduced me to the show this afternoon and I was literally shocked to see a network TV show treat Christians and and Christianity with such an honest and sympathetic lens. I am not going to hook the TV back up but I am going to buy the series for viewing on the VCR if available. I am curious as to whether the show or a similar one could be resurrected.

Christy is one of those rare shows that seems to inspire you and warms your heart, it gives you hope and faith to draw on. So few shows have ever done this. Christy was one of a kind! The acting and writing were so fantastic. I'm still wishing some day it will return.

I just watched what I think was Journeys of the Heart on the family channel. I think Kellie Martin is a great actress. I have really enjoyed her in the Christy role. I have not seen anything else with her in it. I was wondering if there is a sequel to Journeys of the Heart because it did not end good at all!?!? If you know e-mail me.

Christy has been a continual inspiration to my life since I first read the book as a teenager. I loved the television series and am trying to keep that spirit alive in me by watching the eight Christy videos I have. Yes, I hope to see a sequel, too. I have visited Townsend, Tenn., three times and love that area. I pray that one of these days Christy will again be filming there.

Sadly I never knew of Christy when it originally aired in 1994 or so. In 1996 or so my friend had a video of it. I told him that the girl looked familiar and he said "yes from Life Goes On". I said yea that's it! But I'm a big Kellie Martin fan now...here's the sad part :-(. Christy was filmed at the place where I ride bikes every weekend! I never even knew it? I'm in Knoxville TN and should have known that, but never did? but I know now and it's a great show...hope they make em again one day!

I just love the Christy T.V. show, the original book, and all of the books based on it. All in all I just love all of the things that have to do with Christy.

This is a great show! It gets two very enthusiastic thumbs up from me. I wish that it would have continued. Kelly Martin did a great job playing Christy! The stories that were told were very inspiring. The only thing that I could have asked for more from the show was to have the doc and Christy hook up...that would have been the perfect ending to the perfect show!

I have enjoyed the Christy videos that I purchased through Time Life Video. I have been to Townsend and seen some of the old buildings they used in the series. My favorite episode was the Thanksgiving show (The Sweetest Gift). Christy is no. 1 in my book.

"Christy" has truly touched my heart. The book is beautifully written and the series is very moving. Never before have I been so engrossed in the lives of characters. And what an inspiration that a series praising God's love and help was so well received by the public. (Of course, nowadays we have "Touched By An Angel.") This web site is wonderful. Thank you for updating us on "Christy" developments. Although I doubt that Kellie Martin will ever have anything to do with recording more of the series in the future, I am glad that she was part of the original. A brilliant actress. I, too, buy every video from my local Christian bookstore. Next up is Green Apples and The Hostage. I can't wait! By the way, does anyone know if the musical version is being produced anywhere at this time or if the rights can be "purchased" to do a local performance?

I loved the Christy series and I've seen every episode. I would love to see a better ending though. I can't believe the way it left the viewers hanging. I hope that someday they will at least finish the series so that we won't be left wondering who Christy chooses. I'm happy to see that there are other people who feel the same way.

Hey! Thanks for this cool webpage. I am a Christian and love the show. I try to collect anything that has to do with Christy. I read the book and loved it. I have all the episodes on tape and can practically quote them. My favorite characters are Christy and the Doctor. I've always felt that Christy and I are a lot a like. Please let me know of any Christy get-togethers you will be having. It's nice to have a Christian show to watch, and to recommend to my friends.

I loved this show and was so disappointed when it was discontinued. I missed the last show and was left hanging. I'm planning to order the videos and hope somehow the show can be resurrected.

The "Christy" book has been a favorite of mine for years and it was with great enthusiasm and anticipation that I and a niece watched this series. I have some of the videos and hope to complete my set as soon as possible. Each character on the show was real. I struggled, loved, cried and laughed each week as I watched the storyline unfold. My heartfelt thanks to each of the actors and actresses that took part in this gift to the world. Thank you.

I love Christy and I hope that they will make new episodes. I was dissapointed by the last episode and enjoy reading the sequels that fans have written to complete the Christy Series.

I loved to watch the show Christy. I would always set apart my time when it would come on. I guess the main reason that I loved the show so much was because of Randall Bantinkoff. I don't know why everyone else loves the doctor so much. I personally think that the preacher is my favorite character after the teacher. He's a good actor, and much better looking than Brad Pitt.

I first read the book Christy when I was in high school, and have re-read it 4 times. I was ecstatic when the show came on TV. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and the fact that a TV network would air a Christian show. My husband used to tease me that I was obsessed with Christy. Finding this website has made my day! I think they should at least make one final episode of Christy because they really left us at a cliffhanger.

I am so glad I found this page! The Christy series was wonderful, the only time I have ever written a letter to a tv network was to ask them to do a follow up episode when they canceled the series. I have just ordered Caroline Kent's sequel to the last episode and am eagerly awaiting the book. I love the Smokies and visited Townsend, TN a few summers ago.

I loved Christy too.......but then again, I was prejudiced. And even more so to Christy - The Musical. So yes, I'm new to the internet, and no, I didn't have a clue that there was a web site. However, now that I know there is I'm sure I'll be here a lot because, my husband James was a production assistant for both seasons. My little girl Kelly was in the Thanksgiving special and a few other episodes. What a story I could tell about this but it would be too long to go into. Aside from this, both myself AND my daughter were in Christy - The Musical for all three seasons. My daughter played Millie, which was Mounty in the TV series. I played Granny Barclay and was understudy for Mary Allen. I was also the childrens coordinator for the last season. Boy wasn't that a hoot! Just imagine running around chasing children to apply their make-up, while they're running around trying to get ready themselves! Okay, so that's another story.

I love Christy. I never knew that it was on the air. I have the Christy book, the book series, and 8 movies. I loved reading and watching all of them. They need to make a sequel to the Christy book. They ended it with her sick and the Doctor praying. They need more. Mt favorite part in the movies was the white deer. I think that Christy and the Dr. McNeil should marry. She all ready practically dumped David. My favorite character was Miss Alice, and second was Neil. In my opinion, Dr. McNeil was the best looking character. David has a funny nose.

I have read the book Christy at least 2 times completely and I love the videos of the TV show. What a shame that it is not on TV anymore. I found the show to be a light in the darkness of the TV world. The show and the book showcased true Christian faith and I was and am encouraged by Christy's honest search for God. They just don't write books like that anymore!!

I love Christy! I loved the book and the series. I have enjoyed meeting people who love Christy as much as I do. We need more Christian entertainment in the world. Christy provided that to us all. I am so thankful for all the WONDERFUL new friends that I have made on-line and at the Christy gathering last year. It has all been a blessing to me. It is nice to have an interest in something so uplifting.

When the series first came on the air, I was delighted because I had read the book growing up and loved it. It was also refreshing to have a show I could watch on tv and not need to worry about senseless violence or sex. I was very upset when they took Christy off the air and I hope that maybe one day they will film more episodes!!!!!

Although I have only been privileged enough to watch the Premiere episode of "Christy" I found it charming and heartwarming. Perhaps someday I'll get to see the rest of it. However, I have read the book and I must say that it was one of the best books I have ever read. If you haven't read it, you've missed so much of the story.

I have always been a very large fan of the show. My son, Kyle, played Sam Houston and our entire family will always cherish the wonderful memories. The music, scripts and all of the wonderful people really touched our hearts!

Why is everyone so crazy about Christy and Dr. MacNeill? From day one I adored the minister. When I read the book for the first time three years ago in 1995, I was devastated to find out she'd chosen the doctor. For three years I really believed that. I knew the story was based on real people, so I thought, "Well, that's life. It happens." Recently I started reading the book for my second time ever. This time I got curious about the real Christy and stuff. So I started researching around and found the Web site for the Christy musical. Then it started printing the photos of "Christy" and "Christy's husband, Rev. John Ambrose Wood (or David Grantland)".

"What?!" I shrieked. I thought I read long. For the last three years, I really believed that "Christy" had chosen Dr. MacNeill. Turns out the character wasn't even real! I always liked David much better. Even in the book, all the chemistry was between Christy and David. The doc was like some one-dimensional character pasted in seemingly to create tension. Then after 500 pages of David this and David that, Christy suddenly decides, on page 501, the VERY LAST PAGE, "Golly gee, it is Neil MacNeill MacSmeill who I love".

I adore David -- and Randall Batinkoff. I am so glad that in real life they married when Leonora Wood was 19, and they had Catherine, the author, just two years later in 1914, followed by a son, Bob, seven years later, and another daughter, Em, 14 months later.

I have been to both the TV movie site and the real Cutter Gap. It is a real experience for any one to see if they visit The Great Smoky Mountains.

The television show was one of the few that my whole family would sit down and watch. We really enjoyed it very much.

The Christy movies and books are great. I have only seen up to episode ten. I sure hope they make more of them. I have several friends who love them too.

I was delighted to find that there is life after TV for Christy! I miss the show - look forward to seeing reruns all May,1998 on The Family Channel.

To say the same thing that everyone else did, I love Christy! I was so mad that CBS does not show new episodes of that program anymore. It is a very good show. It is rare to see such an inspirational show on tv anymore. I read the book, loved it. I don't like that Christy ended up with the doctor in the book, I love the preacher. In the tv series I think that the guy that plays David, Randall Batinkoff, is gorgeous, and how could Christy choose that old doctor over David. (Randall had a bit part in As Good As It Gets, he played a man that Helen Hunt's character went out on a date with.) Sure Christy & Neil have some great emotional connection, but just LOOK at David. I bought the Christy tape, that has a few episodes a few years ago. I just saw that the Family Channel is going to have every episode on daily at 7pm. I plan on tuning in. This is an excellent page. I was so terribly disappointed when Christy ended. For a whole year I refused to watch Touched By an Angel just because it took up Christy's time slot. The book is wonderful and heartwarming. I think the series was a terrific adaptation of the book & wished it had continued. All the characters seemed so real...it really transported the viewer to a new place.

Christy is one of my favorite shows, and I think that they should put it back on the air. It is a family show that everybody can enjoy.

CHRISTY is a blessing. Without a doubt God used Ken Wales as a tool to bring this beloved book to television. Larry Myers, never to tired to show people around the area where the real Christy taught school in the early 1900's. Ken McCaw and everyone associated with the musical who had our hearts singing "Come to the Mountains". Elaine, Caroline, Bonnie, Leslie, Linda and many more people who have reached out beyond their home to keep Christy and the memories of a 19 year old's faith and determination to help the people of Appalachia alive. The people who I've spoken to and met over the past 4 years their heart is like mine full when you bring Christy up in a conversation. Christy may not be in production now, but the ministry of God's undying love for all of us in very much alive. Leonora Wood's life has touched us all.

Hello! I first read Christy four years ago then there was no tv Christy. But the tv can mislead you. The book is mush better. I think ever body should read Christy it's good for the soul.

I believe that David and Christy should get together. I don't care what everyone else thinks. Doctor Neil McNeil only likes Christy because she reminds him of his 'deceased' wife, of whom he fought much with. -any other David fans... I solute you!!

I have been watching and recording the recent episodes of Christy at 7pm and those at 9am. I am always looking for episodes and I never knew the outcome of the story until I got to this site. I have to say, I always hoped that she would marry the doctor. Unfortunately I never got to see the wedding or her deciding to marry him. The last episode I viewed was a cliffhanger-leaving her to decide between the doc and preacher. Is there a final episode with a closure? And are they ever going to make any more episodes? I did not get to watch Christy very much when it originally aired because as another fan expressed it came on during our worship times at church. I have not missed an episode now that it is airing on the Family Channel. I watch the shows when they air in the mornings and evenings. If I am out, I tape them. Christy is easily the best show on television. I was so upset when CBS canceled the show. I couldn't believe it! It is a breath of fresh air to some of the things that are on television these days. I also am interested in seeing an episode to close the plots left hanging and would like to see Neil and Christy together. But Randall was wonderful as David and I would not be upset to see them together instead if the story line is a good one. My preference would be to have many more episodes done with as many of the original actors/actresses as possible. But at the very least some sort of final episode should be done for the fans. The show is terrific.

Kellie Martin was just the right person to play Christy! I am glad that the family channel is showing it again. I have enjoy reading Mrs. Marshall's books but, Christy, is the one I loved the most.

Last night I spent a good hour emailing two different CBS addresses telling them how much I missed and loved "Christy". I told them what a following it still has and how well it would do if they were to reair it or restart production. I encourage all of you to find a way to let them know how much we want "Christy" back-and not just as reruns. As good as "Dr. Quinn" and "Touched By An Angel" are, and as good as "The Waltons" and "Little House on the Prairie" were, in my eyes, there will never be as good a television series as "Christy"!

If only they would resume the production of "Christy"! I have read the book, and seen all of the Christy's videos. My family and I have really enjoyed the book and series. Do enjoy history and the talk of the Lord in helping to bring people together. Do hope one day to go back to the the area and see for myself the beautiful country.

If you can possibly make it to Christyfest '98, go. My husband and I went last year and we had a wonderful time. It was exciting just being where the shows were made and realizing we weren't the only people in the world that adored Christy. Catherine Marshall's novel has been a blessing to us as has the tv shows. I too wish they would film some more. Thanks to all those who have written "sequels". I think we all have our own mental endings of the last episode.

Christy is one of the best programs ever. I love Touched by an Angel, Promised Land, Seventh Heaven, and Little House on the Prairie. Television can do more to decrease the violence and encourage our youth if they would read and heed the comments from their "buying" viewers. I teach high school and I know that teens are looking for guidance. They are not getting it at home and television provides them with violence as a solution. Christy is an excellent program. Too bad CBS kept moving Christy. Given a fair chance, the program would have proven itself.

I, Christen, am eight years old and a Christian. I love the T.V. series Christy because she is a very young and dedicated Christian like I am. I just found out about the tv series on the Family Channel and now thanks to the home page I know about the young readers books and the real Christy! I would like to see a new Christy TV series and I would like to see Christy marry the reverend David. If a new series is ever created it would be my dream to be in it! From mom: I'm much older than eight, but I too really enjoy and am inspired by the Christy TV series as well as the book which I read long ago as a new Christian. I am thrilled that my children can also be encouraged and uplifted by the same great story! I watched Christy when it was originally broadcast and am very excited that The family channel has it in reruns currently. I even introduced my roommate to Christy and now we are both hooked.

I like many others love both Catherine Marshall's book and the TV series 'Christy' and was most upset when it was canceled. I really enjoyed the actors interaction with each other, they made you forget you were watching a 'show' and drew you into the adventure with them. I sincerely hope the Family channel decides to renew this series and that ALL the original actors come back, otherwise it won't be quite the same. Also I recently read an article from the Indianapolis Star from June 12,1996: 'Viewer's Love of Christy Reaps Rewards'. In the article Mr. Wales states that 'CBS was currently working on a two hour movie due Easter Sunday of next year'. Easter 1997 has come and gone, and I hadn't heard anymore about it. Does anyone know?

Thank you very much for this website. I really enjoyed watching this show. Unfortunately, I got hooked on it right before the show was canceled. I did see the very last episode and was very disappointed to find out that they wouldn't even come back to finish the second part, which I know I would've enjoyed watching. Is there any way they could just come back for one last 2 hour conclusion? I know that many would be very happy about it and would watch.

I just want to state that I love the show Christy. I wish there were more shows like this one. I admit that I still catch the reruns every morning on the Family Channel. I think Tyne Daly, Kellie Martin, and especially Randall Batinkoff are fabulous actors. Everyone else who were in the cast were also great. Like everyone who writes here, I really love Christy. The show is great, the cast is even better like the one in Dr. Quinn and I have no words to describe this young girl who charms everybody. I wish I could be like her. In Romania the show has just begun (about 20 or less episodes) and all I want is to see Christy and David married.

I just started watching Christy this summer during my off time (teacher and mother of two small children). I never watched the original show due to time constraints. Now I see what all the uproar was about when they took it off the air! I am confused though. They seem to be airing them in random order on the Family Channel. I've seen many episodes over the summer. But I'm confused. How many seasons/episodes did this series run? How closely does the show follow the book? The most recent episode I saw had her holding the preacher's ring and the doctor on her horse, the children all around and her "deciding" on which of the two fine men to choose. Was that a finale? Were there more after that? Please, someone fill me in!!! Thank you so much.

'Christy' rocks, dude!! Ever since it first aired, I have been hooked. And I must say that I think it a severe injustice that it was taken off of the air. This show has morals and VERY FINE actors. Need I mention Stewart Finlay-McLennan? Sure there's Dr. Quinn and Touched By An Angel but, this show radiates something different. I have read the book 'Christy' three times and I'm still not sick of it. And so once again I say, "Christy rocks, and so does the doc!" Kinda cheesey, but it gets the point across.

I just wanted to say that I really enjoy watching Christy. My husband and daughter tease me and say that I am obsessed with the show. I also started taping the show and missed several episodes, it is nice to know that I can purchase those that I missed. I was very upset when Christy was canceled and wish that they would make more episode. I was unfortunate to miss the last episode and although I know that "Christy" eventually married "David", it just seems like the book and show both lead you to believe that the Doctor and Christy got together. I had just started watching the series CHRISTY, and I'm proud to say that I'm now a hooked fan. I want to see CHRISTY end up with the PREACHER. Hey! I want to end up with the preacher! I just have to say that I really enjoy watching Christy on the Family Channel. I remember when it was on TV before, but I never really watched it. Now, every morning (6am - 7am) I actually get ready for work on the commercial breaks ! The show is so good, and I am only now finding out how short lived this series was. I feel kinda upset that I didn't get to enjoy such great acting/storylines when it first came out. I hope one day they will finish the story - if not, I'm really enjoying everyone's output on what would have happened. Keep it up !

I also stumbled upon Christy on the Family Channel and could not believe that there was actually a TV show that talked about God and actually was not afraid to say "Jesus" out loud and actually sing the same songs we sing at church and apply scripture accurately. It was beautiful and I have tape the episodes every day and come home to watch them. I didn't know this was a network show so I didn't keep the tapes!!!! What a shame.... I looooove the TV series Christy!!! The only thing I don't get is why everyone is saying she should be with David, personally if I was Christy I would have fallen in love with Dr.Neil Macneill to! He understands her a lot more than David does, and he ran after her in a matter of speaking when she came to his cabin to tell him she loved him, he wouldn't have done that if he didn't love her back. David has good intentions but when he told Dr.Macneill to back off with Christy I wanted to slap him! It's Christy's choice who she chooses not David's.

I read the book, and was an avid watcher of the belated tv series. Christy truly is a masterpiece of adolescent literature. I for one would like to see "Christy, the movie" made into a made for tv movie.

I love 'Christy' and am in serious withdrawal since the Family Channel became the Fox Family Channel and dropped the show. The fanfiction is helping me through it, but I hope more cable companies will pick up PaxNet so we can at least see the show once a week (and tape it!)... Maybe, if we all write letters, send email and call the people at PaxNet they would make more episodes... or at least a 2-hour TV movie to wrap up the David-Christy-Neil issue that left us hanging at the end of the series. I couldn't believe they did that!!!!

You can't imagine how excited I am to see this! I'm planning on making a trip to Kentucky/Tennessee and it occurred to me this morning I ought to look into this. Wow!

I'm from Australia and stumbled across Christy one Saturday morning, flipping between channels and instantly fell in love with the show. Unfortunately due to some bizarre scheduling on the part of the station that screened Christy it was a hit and miss affair actually watching any more episodes, but then I was visiting my Grandma and guess what book I happened to find on her bookshelf, Christy! I read it and was delighted to find my suspicions about Christy and Dr MacNeil were true. Anyway I think this is a really excellent show and think it should be on at a decent hour in Australia and I'm glad to find so many other Christy fans on the Internet.

I to have been a fan of the Christy television show and even went to Tennessee this past summer just to see the mountains and where it all began. We drove through Townsend and it was beautiful. I only wish now that we would have waited about another 2 weeks or so to go cause then maybe I could've joined in the Christyfest.

I first watched Christy two and a half years ago when I was confined to bed with a broken leg. A friend had the episodes taped and brought them to me, knowing I would love them, and love them I did. I began taping what turned out to be the last season. I was so disappointed. (The book held a great disappointment with the death of Fairlight. I am glad that was left out of the TV series.) My husband and I visited Townsend that summer. An obliging shop owner gave us directions to the filming sites. I was ecstatic to get to see the mission, the El Pano barn and the white house which I thought was just a residence, but turned out to be the Teahouse. I videoed the places so I could enjoy them when we got home. It was when the last episode was aired that I realized what the white house we saw really was in the show. I finally realized how my husband must feel when we visit all of those Civil War battle sites I'm so very NOT fond of. I held a renewed respect.

I absolutely adore Christy. From the first episode I was completely hooked. I have bought all the books and am slowly adding the videos to my collection. It's great for there to be a show which emphasizes Christianity.

I am, of course, in love with Dr MacNeil and wish that the Christy/Neil thing would happen. I think more episodes should be made because that cliffhanger just isn't fair!!!

I really love watching Christy and I wish they would do some more episodes. I wanted Christy to get together with Neil, I like him alot better than David, he's nicer and while he wants to help the people, he doesn't try to recreate them into the way he does things like David does. I know David is a minister and his job is to preach the gospel, but it's not to be such a snob about some things and try to make them think about everything the same way you do. I really I really like Jeb and Fairlight Spencer the best of all the families.

My mother read Catherine Marshall's book as a teenager and named me after Catherine Marshall's character. It has been such a blessing for me to have such a meaningful namesake. I read this book for the first time at the age of 13, and it has shaped me and challenged me in my Christian walk throughout my life. Last year, I served as a missionary in Africa, and I can proudly attribute much of my spirit and drive to God working through this novel and TV series to shape a young woman's imagination. I thank God for Catherine Marshall's witness and for the courage of all women who confront their fears to labor for the love of Jesus Christ. The mission field is open all around us - in the inner city, in rural areas, and abroad. I pray that more young women will be encouraged and inspired to follow in the footsteps of Leonara. I have really enjoyed watching, and reading the stories of Christy. These stories are truly an inspiration. Both the television show and the novel taught a great deal to everyone about our history and the importance of friends and family. I feel that the show should be reinstated into prime-time television for the betterment of all.

I first read the book Christy when I was 18 years old. That was 33 years ago. It still remains one of my all time favorite books/stories. It is the only book I have ever read more than one time. My favorite characters in the movie are Alice Henderson, the doctor and Fairlight.

Christy was an amazing show and book. It really made me think. I was sad when the show was canceled, but it will live in my heart forever.

I love Christy! All through high school we were required to read books, and I hated it, until my junior year we had to read Christy and I couldn't put it down! I told my mom about it, and we fought over the book some nights, then we bought it for my grandmother who let my aunt borrow it and then she let my cousin read it! We all love it!!

I first read "Christy" as a preteen when our family camped in the Great Smoky Mts. I love it so much I read it nearly every year when we returned to the area. That was 25 years ago. When I heard the TV series was in production I was ecstatic!! It totally lived up to my expectations and I am forever grateful that it was captured and forever lives on film. I fell in love with Christy the first time I saw it on the family channel. It is the best show on TV that I have ever seen. I could not believe that they canceled it. It breaks my heart every time I think about it. As everyone else has said, I wanted Christy and the Dr. McNeil together so badly. I have read the book twice; I loved it. I still felt like I was left hanging even with the book. My only wish is for some closure. I really hope they make more episodes. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Christy is my favorite television series. I had first read the book, then realised that it was also on television. Great. As a Christian, it was nice to see Christians portrayed in a positive light,unlike how they are portrayed the majority of the time on television. This is such good quality programming. Christy is my favorite show. I am 14 years old, and I watched it when it was first aired, and I watch it every week on Pax. I love the book, and I think that the show measures up to it. I was excited that such a beautiful story really happened, but I was horrified to find out that Neil McNeil never even existed! Leonora Whitaker ended up marring the preacher! I wonder why Catherine Marshall would write a story about her mother and have her end up with a fake character!? I would think her father would be pretty annoyed.I love the Christy and Neil relationship and I was disappointed that it never existed, but I still love the show anyway. I praise the show Christy for mentioning the word God and Jesus, and actually talking about it. Very few shows will do that. CBS was really stupid to take such an inspirational show off the air, but they were just afraid that a show about God wouldn't bring enough viewers. Excuse me, but Touched by Angel? Hit show. Pax ! needs to pick this show up, even if Kellie Martin wouldn't be able to do it (being on ER), and the kids have grown up, they should try to get most of the same actors. Because unfortunately, they don't seem to be too busy. Or a two hour conclusion! Although they really did show that she ended up with Neil. Earlier in the last episode, she has dream that she runs up to Neil on his horses and he pulls her up behind him and they ride off together. But it would be really neat if they showed a wedding or something. Christy is the best!

I love to read the Christy series of novels, and I cried and cried when I watched the movie. I haven't read the actual book, but I would love to. I got my copy of "Choices of the Heart" and proceeded to read it rather quickly for me! Excellent job on resolving things between Margaret and Neil! I like the way he took responsibility for his role in their failed marriage. But Christy and Neil seemed to be slightly out of character in that they did not seem to do more to reconcile the MacNeil marriage. And when and how did Bird's Eye and Lundy reconcile their differences? And what of Dan Scott? I would look forward to a resolution &/or explanation of these events. But again, overall, GOOD JOB!

I loved the book Christy. Everyone here seems to have the opinion that the T.V. show is better, but I was slightly disappointed when I saw both the movie and the T.V. show. They do not follow the book at all. I just don't think they capture the drama like the book does. Fairlight Spencer is hardly shown in the show at all, and in the book she made a big impact on Christy's life. And everyone seems to think that Christy and the preacher belonged together, and I admit that I thought that too, at first. But the relationship that Christy and the preacher had was just of the flesh, not like the real, true love that Christy and the doctor shared. I also think that Alice Henderson is not portrayed rightfully in the show. I'm not trying to breed contempt here, but I really am disappointed by the show and would like to know if anyone shares the same opinion.

Hi! I first discovered the Christy story in 1994 when the first episode aired. I watched it with my grandmother, a devout Christian. We would watch it together almost all the time, and when we couldn't, I'd call her during the commercial breaks and we would discuss what had happened so far. She died 5/14/95, just before the new episodes aired. I have all the shows on tape and have loaned them out to my best friend, who doesn't know the Lord. I hope these shows will touch her heart. I always wanted to see Christy and Neil marry. They were the classic odd couple, yet there was such a deep understanding and love and passion that ran unspoken between them. I never saw that chemistry between Christy and David. I hope that once ER is on hiatus, Kellie Martin and everyone else can reunite for a mini-series that ties up all the loose ends. I've have known about Christy since I was eight years old. I have just recently been nuts about it. In one of the other comments a girl said that she hopes the doctor and Christy get together. From what the other comments say "Christy" is no loner on the air, but about three weeks ago I watched it on PAX TV. I've been too busy lately to watch it and thought it was still airing on PAX. I'd like to say that my wife and daughter and I just loved the Christy show. The purity yet raw background of this challenging place for a young girl to travel to was a deeply moving story and I am sorry that this show did not continue but I guess that's how it is with anything of a wholesome nature nowadays. Hello to all the fans of "Christy". Have I got a little surprise for you. I was involved with the original production of the pilot movie and the first four episodes when Christy was in its infancy. It was a Barney Rosenzweig/ Ken Wales production and I was the production assistant. I was actually the very first crew member to be hired when the production team came to Townsend TN from LA. I really did love this show! My mom and I used to watch it all the time when it came. I was only 11 or 12 at the time, but it was still very good. Now that I'm 16, I really wish that I it would come back on. I never really knew which one (the doc or preacher) I wanted Christy to marry! I think that is the big Christy "controversy"! Anyway, I'm in the middle of reading the book for a book project in English class. I hope that it is even better than the series. I live about two hours away from the Smoky Mountains here in TN, and I was thrilled that it was filmed here. What an honor!

I loved to watch Christy when it was on the air and I never missed an episode. I am a huge Kellie Martin fan. I think she did a great job of playing this challenging role. Through the years I have followed her career and have seen just about everything she played in so when she joined the cast of ER I was thrilled. Well now "Lucy Knight" is gone from ER for good. But I still have the re-runs of Christy to admire this young and talented actress. After viewing Christy I read the book and began to attend church more often. Christy was a very rewarding experience for me... I really enjoyed watching what would happen next... Just like all the other views that hate left messages here I would like to know what the outcome of the love triangle between Christy and the two men was!!! I feel it was David that she chose in the end because of the love I saw in Christy's eyes for him... I believe that with the doctor Christy just had a crush on him... It's too bad the producers of the show didn't just keep Margaret dead; too bad they doomed the show by that phony way of bringing her back. It changed everything. Kellie Martin brings Christy to life; it's like she stepped out of the pages. Everyone else is wonderful, too. I wasn't surprised that in real life Christy and David married; they were beautiful together. Although I am Jewish, this book changed my feelings about spirituality. All e-mail and fan fiction welcome, I would love hearing from others who love Christy.

I love Christy so much. I want her and David to hook up. They would be the cutest!

I have watched the show and I've read the book. I've now done a report on the whole "Christy" thing. I can truly say it is insperational!!

I had been watching the series on Kermit Channel in our local cable operator in the Philippines. We, my friends,co-workers and my family and I were quite hoping to see Christy and David get married. They are right for each other. Every time there's a scene of the two of them, it's just so perfect and so romantic. And if Christy ends up with Neil, isn't that a bit of a contradiction to the values being espoused in the series?

In real life, did Leonora marry the preacher? We hope Christy ends up with David.

I loved the christy show I liked the little kids the most. I was so very sad when the show whent off the air. I have some of her videos and books. Some day I hope to get them all. I like the books best.

I am a Christian, but this is not the main reason why I like Christy. In fact, I did not watch it the first time I saw it on TV. I was more into watching Road to Avonlea and Anne of Green Gables. However, I got curious about the show. So, I tried to watch one episode. That was the beginning of it. I would wait for the 10 p.m. every night just to be able to see it. Now, I've been seeing mostly re-runs, but I admit that I never get tired watching the same thing over and over again. I like the whole cast and I think that the lead actors are perfect for their roles. NO, let me correct myself, everyone is perfect for his or her role. I do hope that I will be able to see all of the episodes shown years ago.

Wow! I just spent a wonderful weekend in Townsend, TN at the Christy Fest 2000! Stewart (Dr. MacNeill)was there, Randall Batkinkoff (The preacher), and the people who played Uncle Bogg, Jeb Spencer, and many many others were there too. It was great! Ken Wales and Mike Rhoades, the producer and directer, were there. I won an entire set of Christy videos and also learned that in the near future, the episodes will be out on DVD with 3 episodes on each for about $25.00 each. I got a new Christy cookbook with recipes from cast and fans and also got a Christy mousepad with Kelli Martin and Tyne Daly on it. Can't tell you how great it was! Everyone missed Kelli Martin though. Ken Wales said she is now attending the University of Southern California and hopes to be a movie director. Go, Kelli!

I hesitantly read "Christy" this summer, not having high expectations at all. Well I love the book - it has such true depth, and faith, and is just so very cool. I actually have a couple more chapters left until I'm done. But what's interesting is I read Loretta Lynn's Coal Miner Daughter this year as well. They both take place in a similar culture in a similar area. So, I would just LOVE to go back and visit both of these areas. Does anyone know how far Loretta Lynn's Dude ranch is from Cutter Gap, in the Smokies? I am very curious. Also, are there people living in Cutter Gap?

When CBS was airing Chirsty I was able to watch all the episodes. After the very first one I instantly fell in love with the show. I really do hope that Chirsty will be able to re-air on CBS because I and other viewers do not recieve the other network that airs Chirsty.

I recently obtained a video of the first Christy and loved it and cried too as it was so good. I wish my library carried all of the series as I would really like to know who she ends up with...the Preacher or the Doctor?!?! I hope that it finds "air time" again!

We have been Christy fans for some time and gota computer. We found this web site and enjoyed the comments. We try to vacation in the Smokies each year and have seen from a distance, the film set of the Christy series. Also, we visited the Del Rio (Cutter Gap) area and met with the very kind Larry Meyers. We are excited to hear of the possibility of a new Christy movie. We definitely want Christy and Dr. MacNeil together. We would love to hear Érom other Christy fans and any updates. bye.

I too am a great fan of the Christy series, but until I found this web site, I didn't realize there were so many others that enjoyed it as well!! I have been waiting patiently for the last installment that will put us out of our misery and get Christy and Neil together already!! Although the series strayed from the book a great deal, this is one part I hope they don't alter. Christy and the doctor should end up together. I love the series, and was pleased to buy the tapes @ the Townsend visitor's ceter (which would ship to anyone, I'm sure) Also saw the videos for sale @ The Museum of Appalachiathis past summer. Wanted to ask--has anyone heard about the series being shown on the Odyssey Network this fall?

One of the best series in the world is the Christy and I am really looking forward to see the Return to Cutter Gap. My favourite character is dr McNeill and of course I really liked Kellie Martin's play. I hope more and more people get in touch with this series, I can recommend it to everybody from the heart.

My gran pap grew up in cutters gap this show is very special to me and myn family (roots)we recorded all the shows we love it. My pap left the gap in 1909 and walked all the ways to ashville I still have relatives in ashville. One of my cusins went to cutters gap a few years ago to trace the family tree. Once again this show is a big hit with my family.

I am not a Christian but when I first saw Christy I loved it. I watch it every day. The character I like the most is Dr. MacNeill. Here in Holland hardly anybody has ever heard of Christy. They should pay more attention to it.

Please have the Christy, tv. show on again on channel 43. Because I miss watching this show. Please bring back the show. I liked Kellie Martin, Tess Harper and many actresses and actors in the show. Please.

I love the Christy movies. I love it the way Christy trusts in God and helps them to have a better life. I also totally fell for "David" Randall Batinkoff. I think that David and Christy should go together because:

1.Dave and Christy are both Christians.

2.They look absolutely gorgeous together

3.Dr.MacNeal already has a wife and shouldn't bother to win Christy over to his side.

4.In real, Christy married David when she was 19 and I think that you should make another movie where they marry and have kids. Just like the true story.

Also, if you liked the book "Christy", read "Julie", also by Catherine Marshall. It is not as good as "Christy", but it is almost as good. i have read "Christy" about 4 times and have loved it every time!! I love Christy! I think they should continue the episodes where they left off with Christy having to choose who she wants. I was crushed when they left me hanging, because I want to see Christy get with MacNeill.

Although I appreciate the fact that they're trying to resurrect "Christy", for me Christy will always be Kellie Martin; Miss Alice will always be Tyne Daly; David Grantland will always be....Ruby Mae will always be.....and I think that not having Tess Harper as Fairlight Spencer will be a loss. I loved the Christy series so much that I purchased the video series from Time-Life Videos. My only problem was that the complete TV series was not available. After reading the novel and watching the original series for two years the actors and characters they portrayed became so real to me that I think I'll find it hard to embrace the new "Christy" movies. Having missed the first of the "Christy" movies, I don't know whether they brought back any of the children that were in the TV series. Their characters and stories were another important aspect of the show. Oh Well! I'm done complaining though I am glad about one thing...at least they brought back the original Dr. Neil MacNeil. I loved watching chrisy. I wish it was still playing on PAX tv. I do not have cable so do not have many stations. My friends think that david is cute and cristy and him make a sweet couple.

Christy is a fine book and a great tv program. Can you believe that there are people here who think that Christy & David are supposed to end up together? What is wrong with these people? Have they not read the book? Dr. MacNeill and Christy are great together, and I hope that PAX gets this right in their upcoming miniseries. You all should read Catherine Marshall's book "A Man Named Peter." It is totally awesome.

It was pure chance when I discovered this jewel of a series some months ago. I became a big fan of Christy immediately! It is such a beautiful story an I like the characters very much. Every time I see Dr. McNeill I feel like fainting...!

Unfortunately there is no chance to see Christy on Swiss or German TV now. I am so curious about the new episodes. I hardly can wait until they will be aired in my country!

Why did they change so many characters in Christy. Why did they change Christy, Fairlight, and Alice? Some characters you just can't change. Things will be completely different.

I hadn't heard of Christy until I bought the movie from Sandstar. My whole family greatly enjoyed the opening movie. I then discovered it had been a series on TV. We only watch videos since there is so much violence on TV. I have since bought 2 more videos from Sandstar. I just found the book & started reading it last night. It's too bad that the really good programs are the ones that are cancelled. I grew up on Little House on the Prairie. Programs like that and Christy are few & far between. When the good programs do come on, I don't know anything about them since our TV is video only. Good values are hard to come by in TV. We find better values in videos rather than those on TV where there's so much blood & guts. I miss the old shows that didn't have to monitored by parents but could be enjoyed by all. My kids do enjoy the old programs I watched as a kid. An old commercial said "Where's the beef?" I ask "Where's the good programs?"

I found your series of Christy overall fantastic but the ending left me dissapointed and disheartened. In my opinion it did not have any finality and it lacked the truthful ending of the book. Were you trying to leave out the true ending for some special unknown reason? Why aren't there anymore continuing episodes? Will there be in the future?

The Allen Family in the series, actually named Click were my grandfather, grandmother, and my dad was one of the children at the mission. I am also related to many of the other families. This makes the series that much more real and special for me.

I thought it was my Tennessee upbringing and old-fashionedness that made me enjoy "Christy" so much. I was surprised and delighted to find that so many others feel the same about the show.
